Brief History

As with many post World War II companies, it isn't documented as to the exact date that Harry started his printing company. However, the recollection is that the company was established in a loft building in Chicago in the late 1940's or early 1950.

Harry ran the company until his death in 1971. At that time, his wife, Mary took over ownership and their son Tom became president. After Mary's retirement in 1982, Tom acquired full ownership and remains president today.

Otto Printing Today

With its third owner and in its second generation, Harry Otto Printing Company is still family owned and operated. Tom continues to be dedicated to the family business and brings over 40 years of experience, expert craftsmanship and know-how to the company.

The "niche" at Harry Otto Printing Company has always been specialty work, unusual requests from clients, and jobs that no one else seems to want. (On Harry's first business card was the motto "You Name It…We Do It…" ) And that motto still holds true today.
